Repaving and Expansion Project
The Fox River State Recreational Trail is a premier 25-year-old linear parkway linking cities, villages and rural landscapes across Brown County. To support our growing community and restore aging infrastructure, the Friends of the Fox River Trail have launched our capital campaign.
Capital Campaign Accomplishments:
-
The trail has been repaved from Porlier Trailhead to Heritage Road.
-
Select trail sections from Heritage Road to Lasee Road have been repaved.
-
Aging culverts along the trail corridor have been replaced.
-
A new trailhead/parking lot was constructed at Midway Road.
Future Improvements:
-
Paving 3.4 miles of the existing gravel trail to Greenleaf.
-
Additional section repaving from Heritage Road to Lasee Road.
-
Creating a dedicated endowment for ongoing maintenance and future enhancements.
These vital improvements ensure a safe, high-quality experience for all users while boosting wellness, local business, and tourism throughout the Fox River Valley. Please consider supporting our fundraising efforts to preserve this premier trail for generations to come.
